In the misty mountains of Cuanza Sul, between fog and lush vegetation, ancient Robusta coffee trees waited silently. Planted over half a century ago, these mother plants witnessed the golden age of Angolan coffee, only to be forgotten when the jungle reclaimed the abandoned plantations.
The Botera project was born from the rediscovery of these ancestral trees. Each moss-covered trunk tells a story of resilience, while their deep roots nurture a coffee of incomparable terroir.

The Rebirth Route
The recovery of 55 km of access roads re-established the vital link between Botera Commune HQ, Hala Farm and Roça, creating a unified logistics and ecological corridor to Jimbo.

The Golden Age
Angola was the fourth largest coffee producer in the world. The farms of Cuanza Sul thrived with exceptional quality Robusta.
The Abandonment
Civil war forced the abandonment of plantations. The jungle swallowed the farms, but the mother trees endured, waiting silently.
The Rebirth
The Botera project rediscovers the ancestral plants. Regeneration begins: 55km of roads recovered, 100 jobs created, communities revitalized.
